Ever heard of Nebraska high school defensive end Harrison Phillips? No? I’m not shocked. This kid is a junior in high school and is being recruited by some of college football’s marginal programs. We’re talking offers from Kansas State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Army and more. Phillips must have a great GPA because Ivy League schools want his services.
And then there is Duke. The Dookies from the ACC.
They’re so interested in Phillips that he has received 115 handwritten letters from the Dookies. Seriously, 115. (Remember, Dan Mullen sent a Mother’s Day letter to a recruit’s mother.)
As you can see above, there’s a rogue letter from Wisconsin in that pile of Duke lust.
What is Duke sending in those envelopes? That’s right, Phillips holding a 1st round draft pick jersey. And a helicopter. And a Bentley.
