CBS Houston should be ashamed for what they’ve done to Digital Content Manager Anna-Megan Raley. She was fired on Monday over that OKC pudgy dancer post on the CBS Houston radio site that we discovered last week and brought to the Internet’s attention (see above).
CBS Sports Radio 610 in Houston tells News 9 that a Digital Content Manager has been fired following a blog post about an Oklahoma City Thunder Cheerleader’s perceived weight problem.
The station will not confirm who wrote the article, but several sources identify the writer as Digital Content Manager Anna-Megan Raley, who blogs under the pen name “Claire Crawford.”
The most damaging part of the post for Raley was the final paragraph where she goes into editorial mode. You’re seriously going to fire someone over this?
Besides…not every man likes women to be toothpick skinny. In fact, I’d say most men prefer a little extra meat on her bones. Am I right?
What do you think? Is this chick “too chunky” to be a cheerleader?
Either way, I wish she had a little more up on top, if you know what I mean…
Poor decision going with the “more up on top” part? Sure. Poor choice of subjects from Game One? Of course. Fireable? Are you kidding me? No way. Everyone is so damn sensitive and won’t even let Raley go on the apology tour. You get her and the dancer together on OKC television and have Raley apologize.
They hug it out and it makes for great television. As for CBS Houston, you turn the apology into a series of television and radio spots. You bring in a couple experts in bullying and have a roundtable. The ladies hug it out, nobody loses a job and life gets back to normal.
Maybe you put Raley on the radio, tell listeners to go to Busted Coverage and study Anna-Megan. Listeners are given 30-seconds to blast her for being ugly. It would be great radio.
