What is it with these cold-weather cities? When will they get the memo that domes might not be a bad idea? We already covered this with the Twins and Target Field a few weeks ago, but things looked even worse in Denver today at Coors Field.
Local fans usually get their panties up in a bunch when we question their choice to go without a dome. They take it personally, as if we’re attacking their city. Listen guys, we mean nothing buy it, it’s just a bit of a head-scratcher when you see a field looking like this during baseball season.
The Rockies are scheduled for a double-header today against the Braves, with games starting at 3:10 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. This could give the crew ample time to clean the field, but can you imagine watching baseball in these temperatures and conditions. It looks like its going to hit 33 for today’s high in Denver. No thank you.
