Esteemed punt returner/below-average wide reciever Devin Hester has placed his Chicago-area mansion up for sale for $2.65 million. Hester, 30, isn’t getting any younger and realizes his time in the Windy City may be running out (the team is significantly cutting his role as WR).
Located about 40 miles from Soldier Field, Hester had a hell of a commute on game days, but to live in a house like this we don’t blame him. Located on a sprawling 2.5 acre lot, Hester had plenty of room to practice his punt return techniques.
Clad in scraped Hickory flooring, with hand-painted features in a number of rooms, the Hester’s grand estate swells to nearly 10,000 square feet spread across three floors. Spacious living areas and a chef’s kitchen can be found on the first floor.
Hester is the second major Chicago athlete to list a property this week, with Frank Thomas also trying to unload his mansion.
