When’s the last time you saw a Red Sox fan robbing a bank on a Sunday? Never, right? Normally I’d just let this robbery slide because there’s no real angle to a Red Sox fan robbing a bank. Happens all the time.
But on Sunday?
Police are investigating a Sunday afternoon bank robbery at TD Bank at 40 High St.
The robbery occurred at about 2:50 p.m.
Police say a man entered the bank and passed a note demanding money to the bank teller. The suspect then fled the bank and headed across the street to the municipal parking lot and down an alley behind Zesto Pizza. Police say the suspect left behind trails of money that were later recovered.
The man was reportedly wearing a white scally cap, a Boston Red Sox hooded sweatshirt (blue and red with a logo on the front), a chain necklace, green or gray pants and shirt, and he had a thick northeastern accent, according to police.
Interesting: chain necklace, Sox hoodie and thick accent? That should be an easy case to crack.
Need to do some Sunday banking & you’re on the Eastern Seaboard? TD Bank has plenty of locations.
