Kentucky Buffalo Wings & Rings Sign: ‘Go Louisville Break A Leg’

This is not a Photoshop job.

Perhaps the work of a black-hearted Kentucky Wildcats fan?

This was the sign at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Bardstown, Kentucky last night: “Final Four Go Cardinals Break A Leg.” Just wow. By now, you’ve certainly heard about the grotesque broken leg Louisville’s Kevin Ware suffered in the Cardinals’ win over Duke in the Midwest Regional finals last Sunday in Indianapolis (if not, you’re just here for the chick pics; it’s cool).

The picture above was posted to Facebook and moved to Twitter Friday night.

According to the restaurant (the girl who answered didn’t give us permission to use her name), the sign was altered by someone who changed the letters around. Per their comment: “It was not meant to offend anyone….We’ve taken it down.”

Despite the severity of the injury, Ware had surgery, was up on crutches by Tuesday and did the Top 10 on Letterman Thursday. But even through Ware will be fine and could return to the court next season, many people would find this sign in poor taste. Of course, there are people in Lexington that would be completely fine with Rick Pitino getting attacked by a werewolf, so there’s that.

Louisville faces Wichita State in the first game of the Final Four at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta at 6:05 p.m. tonight. The Louisville women play California in the women’s Final Four in New Orleans on Sunday.
