Bubba Watson continues his quest to become the coolest guy in the world of golf. Fresh off of his second Golf Boys video, Watson has partnered with Oakley on a major project to develop a golf cart-hovercraft hybrid.
Golf carts haven’t changed much over the years. They look and feel the same. What if there was a way to improve the traditional golf cart concept and take away some of the limitations? That is what Bubba Watson and Oakley set out to do.
They created the world’s first hovercraft golf cart. Using hovercraft technology, the BW1 is able to glide over any terrain, including grass, sand, and water.
Yep, it’s official. This type of technology might be the thing that gets me back into golf. Whipping the cart around is already my favorite part of golfing, so if I get the chance to do that with a hovercraft I’ll be like a kid in a candy shop!
As awesome as it is, golf snobs are going to ruin this incredible innovation. They’ll be whining and complaining and bickering if these hovercrafts ever start getting popular. As long as angry old white guys rule the world of golf, don’t expect the hovercraft to take over like we all know it should.
