Football is back! While you were busy watching some of the worst shooting teams in college basketball blow their shot at the Final Four, the Lingerie Football League returned as the Legends Football League (LFL) (they renamed it in January). The LFL started its 2013 season Saturday, as the Atlanta Steam visited the Jacksonville Breeze at Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. In case you’ve forgotten, the all-female LFL plays 7-on-7 tackle football on an arena-sized field while wearing just sports-bras, boy shorts, cleats and helmets.
The game is still in progress, but we already have some pictures from behind the scenes of the LFL’s first game. As you can see, the LFL really is making a run at the NFL. One of the girls even came to the game Saturday wearing UGGs, just like Tom Brady.
Here’s the commercial the LFL began airing nationally this week. We’ll get you a final score in case anyone put some cash on this one: (UPDATE: Jacksonville won 48-0.)
