Kids, you’re not a real FGCU fan until you’re sporting this cut during the team’s Sweet 16 game Friday night against Florida (9:59 tip). TwinCutz, a Fort Myers barbershop, is responsible for this work of art.
Update: TwinCutz tells us that it took 45 minutes to finish the eagle work and about an hour total for the entire hair art.
This is the same barbershop that has turned in the Bob Marley haircut.
While kids are getting FGCU cuts, the university saw 12,000 unique visitors Friday during the Georgetown game to its school homepage, six times the normal average. Attention for the school has even reached the level to where USA Today used its logo on the front of Wednesday’s sports page.
With just 15,000 alums, there is some room on the bandwagon.
Even the weatherman is catching on to the hysteria.
Then there is the person who figured he’d buy a souvenir to commemorate FGCU’s first NCAA tournament.
Moving over to the NBA, this looks like trouble for the Golden State Warriors dancers at last night’s game against the Kings.
You know Eric The Midget from Howard Stern? Nice 49ers shirt at a hockey game.
Finally, the NY Post has had a boring week.
