Remember Vince Young? Yeah, he’s out of the NFL and spent today trying to impress scouts at the UT pro day. Of course important NFL guys like Gil Brandt took notice. NFL.com caught up with Brandt at the pro day and he instantly handed the phone to Young to comment on his performance.
Young, 31, said he did OK. Brandt splashed much more praise on VY, saying he “put on a show.”
One guy knows he needs to be humble and “get better” while the other guy is an NFL.com analyst who gets paid to analyze.
That means both are exaggerating.
Brandt tweeted: “VY says he will graduate in May. Step in right direction. If he gets himself straightened out, someone could have them a good player.”
There’s no word on what Brandt means by “gets himself straightened out.” As for Young’s career, he hasn’t played since 2011, which included only three starts.
The guy is obviously going to need something to do with his college degree when he graduates in May. Hell, let him go back into the NFL Draft.
But then there is this kiss of death from Troll. Of course cutting Carson Palmer would be a huge hit to the Raiders salary cap.
