Mark Richt STILL Trying To Sell Georgia Mansion For $2 Million [36 PHOTOS]
Mark Richt has been the head coach of Georgia’s football program since 2001. With only 2 SEC titles and 3 BCS Bowl appearances during that time, perhaps Richt thinks his time in Athens might be nearing an end. He put his Hartwell, Georgia mansion on the market for just $2 million.
After doing some digging we discovered something more is at play with this listing. According to AJC, Richt said:
What we have is way more than we need and that our ability to give is hindered by this property. I guess that’s the best way to tell you. We just wanted to be in a better position to give and bless people that don’t have anything. We felt like this was one way to be able to do that.
There you have it. Richt has decided to sell his lake house to allow himself more flexibility when it comes to charity and donating to those less fortunate. Unfortunately for him, its been nearly two years and the house is still on the market.
Hartwell, which is located about an hour from the Athens, GA campus, provides a nice lake front escape for Richt and his family. Sorry pervs, this SEC coach is classy. There no naked paintings of his wife a la Derek Dooley.
