You’ve been sitting around the house, eating greasy pizza, watching the NFL Network and avoiding your annoying girlfriend or wife. You haven’t moved off the couch in 48 hours and your phone died, rendering your Twitter account worthless.
Meanwhile, sports smack-talking maniacs have been using social media and other outlets to vent on fellow combatants. Athletes are fighting writers. Writers are fighting writers. Athletes are fighting fans.
This is where Busted Coverage steps in on a weekly basis. The gatekeepers.

Why Spring Training Is Completely Ridiculous – The DH
Fight Combatants: Dusty Baker vs. Kirk Gibson
Fight Details: There’s a rule in Spring Training that says the home team can decide whether to use the DH – or not. Kirk Gibson had the choice during Monday’s game against the Reds. Gibson wanted to get his starter, Brandon McCarthy some at-bat time while Dusty was hoping to get Shin-Soo Choo ABs.
Gibson chose to not use the DH rule. He met Dusty at the plate, offered to shake his hand and Dusty declined.
Shockingly, MLB doesn’t just let both managers whether they want to use a DH in a game that means absolutely nothing. Want to use a DH on Tuesday? Use it. Want your pitcher to hit? Put him in there.
Fight Scorecard: No winners.

Guerrero isn’t a total scrub. He’s 35-1-1.
Fight Scorecard: Mayweather. Fight is already over, right?

Would You Expect Anything Less Out Of Member Of The Bengals?
Fight Combatants: Bengals Wallace Gilberry vs. UFC fighter Michael Bisping
Fight Details: Gilberry’s buddy, Alan Belcher, has a UFC fight in April against Bisping. One thing led to another in the trash talk department and Gilberry was putting up his $300,000 in a bet against Bisping.
“Word on the street is this Bisping guy’s been running his mouth,” Gilberry observed in the video, speaking from the back seat of the presumed Phantom in question with Belcher seated alongside him. “This is my guy right here. And I don’t appreciate it…I got a $300,000 car. We got the slips. I’m sure [Bisping’s] got something to that value, so you put your slips up, or whatever, and I’ll put the Phantom up. If you knock him out in the first round, it’s yours.”
Fight Scorecard: TBD – April 27 at UFC 159.
