Nnamdi Asomugha was a stud cornerback in Oakland in 2010. Today? Asomugha is one of the most vilified athletes in Philadelphia. (He’s not the most hated player of all the town’s teams:’Bowling’ Andrew Bynum owns that honor.)

Want proof of the antipathy toward Asomugha? At the Maxwell Awards dinner in Atlantic City on Friday night, a football autographed by Asomugha was up for (charity/non-profit) auction. And the first bid was by… no one.

Not even for charity? Wow. Harsh, even for Philly. (The troll-icious ‘Thank You!’ piles on, too.)

That’s 97.5 FM—The Fanatic’s Sean Brace laying down the sarcasm. One of his followers did him one better, stating what so many Eagles’ fans believe about Asomugha:

Ouch. The Eagles are expected to restructure Asomugha’s contract, if they retain him for 2013. The 31-year old cornerback is due $15 million, with $4 million guaranteed.
