Flyers’ Harry Zolneirczyk Takes Out Ottawa’s Mike Lundin
There is (way too early) afternoon hockey happening in Philadelphia on Saturday, as the Flyers take on the Ottawa Senators at the Wells Fargo Center. Ottawa defenseman Mike Lundin doesn’t have to worry about staying alert for the rest of the game. He’s taking a nap courtesy of the Flyers’ Harry Zolneirczyk.
Of course, there was a big scrap after that big shot to Lundin’s noggin. Philly’s Zac Rinaldo’s fought Kaspars Daugavins. Rinaldo threw more punches himself than these guys.
Zolneirczyk got a 5-minute major and game misconduct for his hit. He also appears to leave his feet, which could mean more trouble for him next week. Lundin won’t return. NHL officials will automatically take a closer look at the play because of the game misconduct, tweets CSN Philly hockey writer (and friend) Sarah Baicker.
The NHL will automatically review that hit because of the misconduct – my bet would be on a hearing and punishment for Zolnierczyk.

The Flyers lead 2-0 heading toward the end of the second period.
