RIP: Famous Drunk Bama Nick Saban Kissing Bandit Died Last Week

Alana Colette Collins really loved her Alabama Crimson Tide. You might remember Ms. Collins as the woman back in 2007 who infamously kissed Nick Saban when the coach came to Tuscaloosa to save the program from the Mike Shula era. Bama fans suffered through a 6-6 season in 2006 and were looking for a hero.

Alana obviously knew Saban was special. Just look at all the attention she gave him. She knew to magnitude of bringing in a former BCS champion. She knew Nick could be another Bear. She just had to land a kiss on Nick.

Alana died last week at home. She was 43.

It’s sad to see a legend go while she was in her prime, but at least Alana went to visit the Bear with another BCS title.
