Bears Kicker Robbie Gould Marrying His Waitress At Harry Caray’s; Wedding Registry

Bears kicker Robbie Gould, who made his Busted Coverage debut way back in 2008 via a booze-fueled Cabo trip with a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, is getting married this Saturday. Gould found the lucky woman, Lauren Cozzi, as you’d expect – at a bar.

Gould told a Chicago Internet site last year that he met his bride via the old fashioned way.

Are you single or seeing anyone?

I’m engaged!

What!? How did we miss that in our research?

[Laughs] I am! I am engaged.

How did you two meet?

She was actually my waitress at a place that used to be Hi-Tops, [then became] Harry Caray’s in Wrigleyville. I was out with a bunch of my buddies and she was my waitress and serving us drinks and stuff and there were some girls that were being a little obnoxious and she stepped in and acted like she was my girlfriend and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I asked her to go on a date and she didn’t want to go on a date with me and so I called and said, ‘Hey, let me take you to dinner.’ I took her to Joe’s Stone Crab and then we went for a drink at Hub51. So I’ll be married in February.

You read that, jersey chasers? That’s how you marry NFL kickers.

Wait, she didn’t want to go on a date with the Chicago Bears kicker? And we can’t find a single photo of Ms. Cozzi on the Internet. This is crazy good NFL marriage material. It’s not like this guy is crazy loaded, but he does make nearly $2.5 million a year.

That’s pretty solid cash for a Harry Caray’s waitress.

As for the wedding registry, Gould-Cozzi went with Williams-Sonoma. You can buy the couple a stainless steel dish rack for $70, or a $130 marble pastry board.
