The 80′s and 90′s were a special time for sports merchandise like NBA posters. The NBA had an incredible array of creative posters that painted athletes like the superheroes they were. From ‘The Reign Man’ to ‘Chocolate Thunder’, odds are one of your favorite NBA players was immortalized by a sweet poster.

Think there’s any chance posters like these would exist today? Hell no. There’s no shot the NBA would approve of posters calling one of their players ‘Rifleman’ or ‘Silent Assassin’.

In an era where the NBA wants to clean up their act and take the ‘street’ out of there game, the hopes of ever seeing a poster like this for Kevin Durant or Reggie Evans is merely a pipe-dream.
