Jerian Grant pulled a Reggie Miller on the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday night. The Notre Dame sophomore had zero points in 39 minutes against No. 11 Louisville at South Bend, Ind. on Saturday night, as the Cardinals built an 8-point lead.
Then, Grant scored 12 points in 45 seconds, including a three-point play that helped the Fighting Irish take the Cardinals to overtime. Grant fouled out in the first OT with 19 points. No. 25 Notre Dame beat Louisville, 104-101, in five overtimes. (UPDATED: Full highlights.)
No one who watched the game will forget Grant’s heroics. It reminded many people of the Indiana Pacers‘ Reggie Miller in the 1995 NBA playoffs against the New York Knicks, but even Reggie didn’t get 12 points that fast.
