Duke Students Chanted “How’s Your Grandma” To N.C. State’s Tyler Lewis; She’s Dead [VIDEO]
I’m not going to pretend I can hear Duke students last night chanting “How’s your grandma” to N.C. State guard Tyler Lewis. My right eardrum is ruptured, so I’ll just throw this one out there and you guys can debate at work.
The story goes that Lewis’s grandmother died last week. Duke students read the newspapers and North Carolina news sites. They are on top of opponent news. So Duke students chant “How’s your grandma.”
That’s the claim.
Lewis’s father says some students did chant that despicable line.
“It was mostly ‘Past your bedtime,’ but there was an instant when a brief number of students chanted about Tyler’s grandmother,” Rick Lewis said Friday. “It wasn’t the entire student section, I think a few tried to outdo themselves.”
We’ll take Rick’s word for it.
And you guys have another reason to hate the idiots at Duke who claim to be college basketball’s best fans. Isolated or not, maybe it’s time to stop being douchebags.
Part of last night’s chant sheet, minus the chants.
