Ticketmaster Gives Super Bowl Tickets To Victims Of Craigslist Scam

‚ By

You may have to adjust the way you feel about Ticketmaster. Earlier this week, a group of four 49ers’ fans from Hayward, Calif. were scammed out of $5,900 when the Super Bowl tickets they bought from an individual on Craigslist were never delivered. Instead, the scammer sent a package with a Super Bowl picture and a trolling note: “Enjoy the game!!!! Go Ravens!!! LOL.”

Goddamn trolls! Bad enough to screw someone out of $5,900, but then rub it in her face? Victim Sharon Osgood, 49, filed a police report and assumed she was out-of-luck for the Super Bowl.

Well, Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard heard about the screwing and offered Osgood four free tickets to the Super Bowl, and he set it up so she and her boyfriend will have breakfast with Hall of Famer Troy Aikman. Pretty sweet, as long as Joe Buck doesn’t narrate the entire damn thing. The 49ers also offered an additional ticket.

Osgood, her boyfriend and friends left for New Orleans on Tuesday night. Hopefully, they don’t run into any Nigerian princes who happen to have extra speakers to sell them on the way to the Bayou.
