Bama Fans Roll Out Of Bed To Meet BCS Trophy At Walmart [PHOTOS]
There are few traditions in college football like Alabama fans rolling into a local Walmart to meet the BCS coaches’ trophy. For those of you who’ve been around BC over the years, you know the routine for these Bama fans. They watch the Tide win a title, get in line at Academy Sports (photos from that trophy stop on Saturday) and keep an eye on Walmart for the BCS trophy visitation.
The crystal was on display Friday night at one of the Birmingham locations where fans enjoyed a Dr. Pepper visual overload while knocking off another bucket list item.
According to CBS-42 (Birmingham):
This is the exact Coaches’ Trophy which was awarded on the field to Alabama as the winner of the Discover BCS National Championship on Jan. 7, 2013 in Miami.
Whew. Would hate for these people to waste their time with an imitator. Would Dr. Pepper tell the fans they’re taking a photo with a replica?
…
The trophy is valued at $30,000 and takes three months to produce.
It’s worth more than your double-wide!
As you can see, Bama fans will endure roller coaster lines just for their One Shining Moment. It’s enough to bring a tear to my eye. Please, Bama, don’t ever stop being Bama.
