Michael Jordan Banned From Golf Course For Wearing Cargo Pants
Michael Jordan really likes cargo pants. How many more times do we need to show you photos of MJ wearing cargo pants. The guy can’t hit a golf course without wearing cargo pants. Trouble is, he won’t be hitting a Miami Beach country club anytime soon after being told he’s not welcome at the swanky La Gorce Country Club, according to the NY Post, because of his cargo pants.
The tabloid reports that “He was given the chance to change but he didn’t want to,” according to a source.
Jordan’s PR team fired back.
“Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants . . . He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code. This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point . . . he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it’s their loss — as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest.”
One look at the La Gorce website and you know this club isn’t playing around with its rules. Members play croquet at this place for God’s sake.
Want to get a membership to the club? The rules state: All applications for Membership must be proposed and seconded by two Founder Members and must list the names of four additional acquaintances that are Members in good standing at La Gorce Country Club.
In other words, these people don’t like cargo pants.
