Sammy Sosa’s White Face Now Being Studied By Connecticut Professor
Finally!
We’ve learned the national curiosity into Sammy Sosa’s face has reached the university level via a presentation over the weekend from Connecticut College professor Jennifer Domino Rudolph.
Rudolph’s report, Sammy Sosa’s Cream: Gender Aesthetics and Racial Mixing in the Same Body, was presented Saturday at the Critical Mixed Race Studies conference at DePaul University in Chicago.
According to Rudolph’s professor page, Sosa seems to be the perfect research subject.
Rudolph’s research interests include U.S. Latino expressive cultures, Latino identity formation, transnationalism, urban studies, and teaching Spanish to heritage/native speakers. She is working on a documentary about the Latino first generation in Chicago.
BC has spent the better part of three years on the Sammy Sosa face trail. It seems the bleaching has stopped or he has reached a level of ultimate whiteness for a Latino male who had such dark black skin.
We’ve emailed Ms. Rudolph a couple questions about her research. Standby.
This was Sam’s face on Tuesday.
