Elisha Cuthbert Engaged To Maple Leafs Captain Dion Phaneuf

Elisha Cuthbert is engaged. That’s big news today within the NHL circles thanks to the days when Sean Avery referred to his ex as sloppy seconds. Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf was the guy getting the sloppy seconds and decided to put a ring on her finger over the holiday weekend. Phaneuf, 27, and Cuthbert, 29, are Canadians so this news is like a royal wedding.

It’s such a big story in Vancouver that the Sun used US Weekly’s report.

The PEI restuarant where the engagement party took place couldn’t contain their excitement either. “Last night we had the privilege of hosting a surprise engagement party for Dion Phaneuf and Elisha Cuthbert,” said the New Glasgow Lobster Restaurant account, “Congrats to them both.”
