France’s Nicholas Batum seems to have lost the Olympic spirit near the end of today’s loss to Spain because how else can you explain a guy drilling an opponent in the nuts? Never heard of Batum? The guy is only going to make $46 million over the next four years playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. Something tells us David Stern won’t be happy when he wakes up from his nap and hears about this on Twitter.

Spain gets the victory, France won’t medal and Batum can leave the games knowing he sucker punched a guy in the balls. Helluva way to end the tourney.

As for why Nic dropped the hammer, the explanation made sense.
