Tebow Vs. Brady Quinn: Florida Kicker Ran Under 5.0 40, Says Tebow [MOMENT OF TEBOW]

Tim Tebow has thrown himself right into some serious controversy. In a recent meeting with the Gator Boosters Board, Tebow spoke his mind on former teammate and Notre Dame alum Brady Quinn. What seemingly meant to be an innocent comment by Tebow has gathered some steam on the Internet. Does Tebow hate Notre Dame? Does he have a distaste for Brady Quinn? Honestly, it is just refreshing to hear something come out of Tebow’s mouth that makes him seem like a human being.
According to USA Today, Tebow reportedly said:
I had a teammate at Denver who played the same position as me and he went to the University of Notre Dame. He would brag about his university, how great it was. Most of us in the locker room were like, ‘C’mon, we all had opportunities. We chose not to go there.’ … But he talked so much about his university that it became easy. I’d say, ‘Your whole team had one guy who ran under a 5.0 40 [yard dash]. Our kicker ran under 5.0.
Quinn himself stirred the pot in a Tebow-centric article in GQ from March. Quinn stated that he was more deserving of playing time once then starter Kyle Orton was injured. The reason, according to Quinn, why he didn’t get on the field was due to heavy pressure from the fans to play Tebow.
We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out over the coming days and weeks, but it looks like Tebow is going to have to answer for this. The story and quotes were posted on GatorZone.com earlier today, but the link is now dead. It’s frustrating that whenever we see a sign that Tebow is human, holds grudges, or takes photos with sexy women, it seemingly vanishes before our eyes.
