We never had any idea just how huge Kansas City Royals closer Jonathan Broxton was, even though we’ve seen him play with the Dodgers for so many seasons.
Turns out, he’s huge. We’re talking 300 pounds huge. Maybe that’s why the Dodgers didn’t bring him back after last season and he could only find a one-year contract with the Royals.
It’s not a good sign when the only team that wants you is the Royals. It’s kind of like baseball purgatory.
We might feel bad making fun of Broxton, but his teammates are doing it to. That’s Tim Collins and Everett Teaford stuffing themselves into Broxton’s pants above.
Teaford tweeted the photo today.
Collins goes about 170 and Teaford goes about 160. In other words, they’re about half the size of Broxton.
Maybe it’s time to put down the donuts, huh John?
