Georgia Soccer Player Carli Shultis Arrested For Stealing Hash Browns [Cuff 'Em]
There are days when Cuff ‘Em is horrible and the only story we can wrangle is something about a guy wearing a Colorado Rockies baseball hat & ‘poofy’ jacket jumping through a drive-thru window and robbing a coffee shop. Then there are days when BC comes across starlets like Georgia soccer player Carli Shultis. This chick was arrested last week on one of the craziest theft charges – EVER.
Shultis, 19, was arrested by UGA Police and charged with theft by shoplifting Tuesday morning at the Tate Center Bulldog Café. A restaurant employee called police after witnessing Shultis putting hash browns in her pants and then proceeding without paying for them, UGA Police spokesman Lt. Eric Dellinger said.
Police were dispatched at 8:32 a.m., and Shultis admitted to the responding officer she had taken the $1.06 order of hash browns, according to Dellinger.
Shultis was taken to the Clarke County Jail, where she was released that morning on $1,500 bail, according to records.
Two questions immediately come to mind:
1.) Was Carli drunk? Um, 8:32 a.m. on a Tuesday likely rules out alcohol as a factor.
2.) Is Carli having some emotional & psychological issues right now? Well, according to her Facebook, Carli went from being “in a relationship” to “single” on Jan. 8. Could be some lingering effects that led to the five finger hash brown discount. Guess we’ll have to wait for the trial.
