More Than 70 Dead In Egypt Soccer Riot [Video]
These aren’t your typical soccer hooligans. That’s for sure.
On initial report, more than 70 people were dead — more recent reports put the total over 100 — and thousands were injured in a riot after fans of rival teams rushed the field after a game in Port Siad, Wednesday night.
The fans were hurling stones and sticks and not even the players were safe, as members of the security force were among the dead.
Witnesses say most appeared to have occurred in a stampede after fans of the home team, Al-Masry, stormed the field following a rare 3-1 win against Al-Ahly, Egypt’s top team. They then chased players and fans from the rival team.
Here’s how it began.

Premise of Video: Fans of two rival Egyptian soccer clubs rush the field after the game. They chase each other. They chase the players. People die.
Climax of Video: It’s kind of hard for us to pick a climax on this one.
Conclusion: The death toll will likely continue to rise. Sad.
