Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul is a pretty lucky dude.
He got the hell out of New Orleans or whatever swamp the Hornets play in and moved on up to the land of swimming pools and movie stars.
Yeah, it could have been better. David Stern could have unclenched his butthole and actually let Paul play for the Lakers, instead of the bastard stepchild of NBA franchises, but hey, Paul still got to Los Angeles. And that’s the most important thing.
Apparently he plans on staying a while.
Paul is reportedly dropping $8.5 million on a mansion in L.A.’s most exclusive gated community, Bel Air. The joint is currently owned by Canadian songstress Avril Lavigne and was previously owned by Blink 182’s Travis Barker.
Sources tell us … Paul fell in love with the 12,184 square foot place, which Avril originally listed for $9.5 mil and decided he had to make a move.
The mansion — located in a hoity-toity private community called Bel Air Crest — includes 8 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, 10-car garage, gym, sauna and a covered outdoor living room.
A covered outdoor living room, people! Not bad.
Now, if Paul can actually get the Clippers in the playoffs or past Kobe and the Lakers in the Pacific, then he’ll have something to be really proud of.
