Donald Trump Drops $12,000 On Tim Tebow Jersey & Helmet!

Tim Tebow and his Denver Broncos may have gotten worked by the New England Patriots on Saturday, but that probably hasn’t quelled Tebowmania.

You can count billionaire and megalomaniac Donald Trump among Tebow’s supporters. Whether that’s good or not, we’re not sure, but Trump just paid a lot of dough for some Tebow gear.

Fortunately, it was for a good cause.

Trump paid $12,000 for an autographed Tebow jersey and helmet on Saturday at an auction for Susan G. Komen For The Cure, a breast cancer research charity.

The Trumpster came out the winner of a bidding battle and probably totally overpaid for the items he won, but hell, he can afford it and the money went to a noble endeavor.

Although we didn’t know Trump was a Tebow fan, he does have football connections. Trump owned the New Jersey Generals, a USFL team. Trump signed both Doug Flutie and Herschel Walker, who earned a then-surprising $1 million a year. He’s also widely believed to have led the league to its ultimate demise because of his gigantic ego. That’s another story, though.

As far as the Tebow garb, it was probably a good investment. Broncos exec John Elway said Tebow will come into training camp as the team’s undisputed No. 1 quarterback next year.
