Athletes, coaches and, well, dudes everywhere are growing mustaches in honor of Movember.
In case you’re unaware, the month-long event raises money and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate and other cancers. Many men seek out sponsorships for their mustache-growing efforts, so that’s where the fundraising comes in. Other guys just like to look awesome.
$174 million has been raised worldwide thus far.
Among the NFL players participating are Houston Texans quarterback Matt Leinart and Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway. Baseball players include the Milwaukee Brewers John Axford and Chicago White Sox catcher AJ Pierzynksi. And we think it’s safe to say just about everyone in the NHL is participating.
So, since everyone loves mustaches, especially pedophiles (growing them) and the ladies (mustache rides!), we’ve pulled together 21 of the most iconic mustaches in sports history.
While we probably could just have chosen every other baseball player from the 70s and 80s, we tried to mix it up and grab sportsmen from all across sport, even lame ones like NASCAR.
Take a look at all the manly manliness and support Movember.
