San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum is being sued by a former landlord for trashing his apartment and squatting.

The lawsuit, filed Oct. 5 in San Francisco Superior Court, alleges Lincecum of destroyed $200,000 worth of household items in the furnished apartment and illegally entered the residence after his lease expired.

Mindy Freile, the owner of the property at 141 Hampshire St., claims Lincecum either destroyed or stole personal items belonging to her, including bedding, doors, carpet, pillows, kitchenware, linens, furniture, household appliances, art work, decorations, patio furniture, lights, lamps, and mirrors.

Freile claims Lincecum made her fear for her safety and coupled with the property damage caused injuries to her “nervous system and person.”

“My belief is there was some kind of party that left it in really bad condition,” Freile’s attorney, Jonathan Bonstein, told the Silicon Valley Mercury News. “Maybe there’s a perfectly good explanation on his side, but we haven’t heard it yet.”

Lincecum’s lease ran through the end of February, but he re-entered the property without permission and stayed until May 13, according to Bonstein.

Freile is seeking $350,000 in damages.

Lincecum’s representatives had no comment.
