The loyalists were out in Oxford, Mississippi last night where it was the bourbon drinkers vs. the Mormons in one of the stranger out-of-conference meetings of the year. You have the Southern, classy tailgating, lovable losers, Chicago Cubs of the SEC vs. a team that isn’t allowed to have premarital sex. Ole Miss took a 13-0 4th quarter lead and it looked like the fans would go back to the grove for a victory drink. A recovered fumble in the end zone ended those plans.

The recovery by a BYU linebacker gave the visitors a lead and eventual victory. With an insane SEC West schedule facing them, Ole Miss fans will have to drink heavily this season. Gonna be a long one, boys.
