Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire Loves Japanese Women’s Soccer [Photo]
Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire loves Japanese women’s soccer or at least his shirt says he does.
Gardenhire lost a bet over the Women’s World Cup final to Japanese Twins infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka. The loser had to wear a shirt picked out by the winner and Gardenhire paid up today.
Nishioka chose a number that says “I [heart] Japan Women’s Soccer,” and Gardenhire wore it while working out at Target Field.
Had the U.S. women won, Gardenhire would have Nishioka wear a shirt that said “I love American women.”
