Vikings Punter Chris Kluwe Calls Peyton Manning A Douchebag

Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has never been the kind of guy to mince words and he was quick to call a few of the league’s best players douchebags today.

Kluwe was reacting to a rumor that a new collective bargaining agreement would be finished, save for various demands of the plaintiffs in the players’ antitrust case against the NFL. Plaintiffs supposedly holding up the deal included Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Logan Mankins and Vincent Jackson.

Kluwe took to Twitter and let this beaut fly.

Kluwe may have jumped the gun a bit. The NFL will have to satisfy the plaintiffs in the antitrust case before a new collective bargaining agreement can be finalized, but ESPN reported that none of them are expected to hold up the deal.

One high-ranking NFLPA executive told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen: “Any media reports of a last-minute power play by players are misleading and erroneous. There are unresolved issues and we remain focused on resolving them.”

Not that we imagine Peyton Manning cares what Chris Kluwe says about anything, but the punter hasn’t retracted his douchebag remark as of Tuesday evening.
