Cuff 'Em: Service Dog Must Go To Prison After Owner Gets Time For DUI!

You know how you tell your dog he’s lucky to lick his balls in the comfort of your home?

Kathy E. Kata, a 49-year-old hearing impaired woman from Meriden, was sentenced to four months in jail Wednesday after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, her second alcohol-related driving arrest in the span of a year. Prior to sentencing Kata’s attorney Jennifer McMillan asked Middletown Superior Court Judge Susan Handy to allow the defendant to bring her 13-month-old service dog Victory to jail with her.
