Cuff 'Em: Nevada Wolfpack Kicker Ricky Drake Busted For DUI, Smiles For Camera!

Well, if you are going to be in the papers, you might as well smile.

From the Reno Gazette-Journal:

According to a police report, officers responded to the parking lot of the Freight House district near Aces Ballpark to investigate an intoxicated woman trying to get inside a vehicle that did not belong to her around 1:30 a.m. They noticed Drake, who was driving the vehicle, appeared intoxicated. Following a series of field sobriety tests, he was taken to the Washoe County Jail.

Drake is at least the 10th Nevada player to be arrested in the past 25 months, including at least six DUIs.

At least six DUIs in 2 years? This is an SEC level of drunkenness.

But let’s get back to the smiling mugshot. The guy is so proud, but then his parents found out that Ricky was losing 50% of his scholarship. That’s right, Ricky called Coach Ault to tell him of the arrest and he promptly dropped the financial hammer and a two game suspension.

Who’s smiling now, fool?

Personally, we’d go smile, head cocked to the side and a wink for the college ladies who would end up seeing this on the front of the college newspaper. Might as well have fun with that $10k DUI.
