There is a feel good story coming out of New York this morning.
Dwight Gooden’s latest DUI arrest won’t cost him entrance into the New York Mets Hall of Fame, reports the NY Daily News.
“The timing of Dwight Gooden’s arrest Tuesday on charges of driving under the influence of drugs is embarrassing to the Mets, but a club source said it won’t change plans for him to be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame on Aug. 1.”
Now that is great news. Pffftt, if teams kicked players out of the team hall of fame how would they sell tickets to a Sunday game against the Arizona Diamondbacks?
