There are embarrassing moments in team basketball defense and then there are 10 seconds of film that end up on YouTube and will be guaranteed to go viral.

Enter Western Washington (Bellingham) University’s basketball team. That is them in the lane with their arms up. The guy on his ass is former WWU basketball player Tyler Amaya.

He’s a graduate who returned with some traveling team for a Nov. 12th pre-season warmup exhibition against his alma mater.

Premise of Video: To show how Western Washington’s defense isn’t exactly ready for the 2009-2010 season. Amaya goes into the lane and takes a wild shot. Of course he gets his own rebound and then it happens.

Climax of Video: Tyler is in the paint and can’t find a guy to kick it out to. Hey, eff it. Shoot it.

Conclusion: WWU won 111-105 in OT. Um, this will probably be the last time WWU gets on Busted Coverage in 2009. Fellas, how about some friggin’ defense. Get some arms in the air.

    Well, he is playing on an exhibition team so I guess it doesn't exactly matter in the grand scheme of things.

    That was a travel, ball never hit the rim. Or is that an NBA rule only?
