While we appreciate the enthusiasm of these gambling gurus, the links never include poon. Enter Busted Coverage Special Assignment Editor Art McGregor’s new series – Pick Six.
Amanda is a 23-year-old from St. Louis who dabbles in bikini modeling and cheerleading (I know) for the Lingerie Football League’s Chicago Bliss.
Now on with the picks …
OVERALL: 6-6 LAST WEEK 4-2
Rebounded last week to a respectable 4-2. As you’ll see, as the season goes on, my picks will get stronger and stronger. By 2007, though, my numbers will crumble and I’ll have to answer to the steroid allegations, etc. It won’t be a fun time, but I’m not worried about it right now. Ride it out while you think of … how to put this delicately … Amanda’s bliss.
Toledo +20.5 over Ohio State in Cleveland (noon, ESPN GamePlan)
Lock of the season. I almost like Toledo to win this game outright.
Arizona +5 over IOWA (3:30 p.m., ABC regional/ESPN2)
I remember watching football during the 1987 Cotton Bowl. Ohio State beat Texas A&M. I’ve been a Big 11 apologist ever since. No longer. Take the Wildcats on the moneyline as well.
Georgia +1.5 over ARKANSAS (7:45 p.m., ESPN)
I’m not sold on Arkansas. I might be giving too much name recognition to the Bulldogs here but I do the same with “freshmen girls” and I seem to be doing OK in that respect. And yes, freshman girls were born in 1991. You’re welcome for making you feel old.
GREEN BAY PACKERS -9 over Cincinnati Bengals (1 p.m. CBS)
The Bengals aren’t bouncing back from that ricochet into the hands of Brandon Stokely. Green Bay didn’t perform on all cylinders this past Sunday night.
DENVER BRONCOS -3 over Cleveland Browns (4:15 p.m., CBS)
I think if the Browns and Bengals played each other 16 times a season they’d still both find a way to go 4-12.
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS -3 over Baltimore Ravens (4:15 p.m., CBS)
Cool, I brought up Baltimore. Now I can talk about “The Wire.” I’ve ripped through the first four seasons in about a month. I don’t know how 99 percent of the television viewing public isn’t discussing this show daily … even two years after it went off the air. Best. show. ever. This shouldn’t be a bad game either.
