You have no idea how many “Check Out My Gambling Picks” emails get through our email spam filter. Some retard in Muncie, Indiana thinks he’s the next Jimmy “The Greek” and blasts us with ‘can’t misses.’

While we appreciate the enthusiasm of these gambling gurus, the links never include poon. Enter Busted Coverage Special Assignment Editor Art McGregor’s new series – Pick Six.

Football season reminds me of the strange relationship I have with iTunes and Bryan Adams. Common occurence. I’m aware.

Now while I’ve never once purchased (or even illegally downloaded) any Bryan Adams, I’ve never once changed the radio station when a Bryan Adams song found the airwaves. Admit it. You haven’t either.

Hell, I even once told a girl “Run to You” reminded me of her. No, it’s not one of the 13 or 14 lines I recycle to every girl and yes, saying it to her is the biggest regret I have.

Tomorrow afternoon I’ll listen to “Summer of ’69” before, after and likely during the Navy-Ohio State game while I drink the Bud Lights in the red cans at The Varsity Club here in Columbus.

Might be the highlight of my year.

The song is one of those staples along with “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Sweet Caroline” and “Don’t Stop Believing” that we listen to at tailgates every fall as if it’s the first time.

Before I go any further, it must be noted that I have yet to hear Foreigner’s “Feels Like the First Time” at a tailgate or anywhere besides a classic radio station with my windows down.

Still I’ll have that song in my head while I walk west on Lane Avenue tomorrow morning checking out
the coeds in the knee high socks, short little cotton shorts, No. 2/28/33 girl-sized jerseys with Buckeye necklaces and little stickers on their face.

It’s been a long wait since January.

College football season is here. It isn’t too hard to see, we’re in heaven.

Nevada +14 over NOTRE DAME (3:30 p.m., NBC)
I figured Notre Dame would schedule UNLV before UNR. Then I remembered … Notre Dame hasn’t beaten a team wearing scarlet and gray since 1933.

Georgia +5 over OKLAHOMA STATE (3:30 p.m., ABC/ESPN2)
I imagine it’s going to be a fun one Saturday in Stillwater. How often does that get said? Twice a decade?

WAKE FOREST -2 over Baylor (3:30 p.m., ABC regional)
Regional or not, this is Baylor’s first apperance on ABC since 1997. I first said my ABCs sometime in 1982. I don’t remember the instance though. Nor will I remember this game.

Oklahoma -22.5 over Brigham Young in Arlington, Tex. (7 p.m., ESPN)
True, true. This isn’t the BCS title game. Oklahoma rolls. Large.

Alabama -6.5 over Virginia Tech in Atlanta (8 p.m., ABC)
Just a feeling on this one. Probably my favorite play of the weekend not involving a drunken 23-year-old with low self-esteem.

WASHINGTON +17.5 over Louisiana State (10:30 p.m., ESPN)
Late game on ESPN. Every bar within a five-mile radius of a college campus will have this game on as the clock strikes midnight here in the eastern time zone. This one’s going to be close.

I don’t have a say on that Wofford-USF game. I know. My bad. The snapshots of Cori should make up for that.
