How Jose Lima Spent His Summer Singing Lynyrd Skynyrd's Classic 'Sweet Home Dominicana'
Jose Lima has had a busy summer playing baseball.
He hasn’t been hurt yet and even made the ‘independent’ league all-star team. The former MLBer even sang Happy Birthday for a fan in Calgary. Yes, the singing career continues to impress.
But, folks, the highlight of Lima Time’s 2009 summer has to be his version of the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ which he turned into ‘Sweet Home Dominicana.’

Premise of Video: Yeah, don’t starting give us shit about how late we are on this one. We told ourselves only two Lima updates per summer. Anyway, from the vlogger: NL ’99 All-Star Jose Lima accompanied by Keith Ramsey on the guitar entertain the terminal at LAX while the Long Beach Armada waits for its flight to leave on the season-opening road trip to Canada. Lima and Ramsey, along with Ben Fox, Scott Lonergan and Jamie Arneson make up the Armada’s 2009 starting rotation.
Climax of Video: “Sweet home Dominicana,” “Where you can lie about your age….”
Conclusion: Get this guy hooked up with Pete Gammons and put together a pre-World Series tailgate performance. Guaranteed fun.
