Cuff 'Em: Ryan Leaf Career Stats Include 4 NFL Wins, 9 Felonies
It seems Ryan Leaf won’t have a very long career at West Texas A&M.
Unless that school doesn’t fire idiot coaches who appear to be hooked on drugs.
The former NFL mega-bust was indicted yesterday for 9 felonies, including burglary and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
And here we thought his life had been turned around.
Here are the career numbers for the Chargers biggest mistake: 4 NFL wins, 9 felony indictments and a photo on the Net of some guy kissing his cheek.
Canyon police Lt. Dale Davis said Leaf is suspected of breaking into a Canyon apartment on Oct. 30 and stealing Hydrocodone, which had been prescribed to an injured football player.
“There were signs of a forced entry,” Davis said. “A window in the back of the home was (damaged).”
So what we have here is a guy who barely played in the NFL jonesing for pain killers, according to police.
Seems logical to us.
Then we find out Leaf was undergoing drug rehab in British Columbia.
Oh, shit. Guys going all the way to BC for rehab probably aren’t going there for rehab if you know what we mean. What, no good sober houses in Texas?
Nothing in California? Arizona?
