Cuff 'Em: Philly "Party Parents" Busted For Throwing Junior High Natty Light Kegger
Ain’t no party like a junior high kegger flush with a Natty Light barrel, red cups and a cool parent to tell cool drinking stories and how to lie to police.
Say hello to Philly’s latest heroes: The Party Couple.
Daniel McIntyre, (above) of Dresher, and his ex-girlfriend, Kathleen Tompkins, 44, were charged yesterday with hosting a drinking party for Tompkins’ 15-year-old son and his 14-to-16-year-old friends at her Abington home on Feb. 27.
And just like any other cool boyfriend would do, Shades (as he was known as) showed the kids how to play beer pong and the intricacies of tapping a keg.
Photos of the scene after the jump.
Shades, like a true pro, had an alibi waiting for police:
Police said that they were alerted to the party by calls to the department’s tip line, and that an officer responded to the home early that night. He was met by McIntyre, who allegedly identified himself as John Riff.
McIntyre told the officer that there were kids watching a movie in the basement but that there was no alcohol being served, according to court records.
Nice. Not only does old dude throw a bash but even has a rockstar name to go with the persona as being one of the cool guys in the neighborhood.
It seems the kids learned a lesson in this mess: how to tap a keg.
Kudos to all involved.
