Sports Illustrated Reveals 2009 Swimsuit Issue Tennis Player Photos On CBS Sunday Morning

In one of the stranger PR moves in SI Swimsuit Issue history, CBS Sunday Morning was chosen to debut several images from the 2009 issue.

Russ Mitchell did a profile on Walter Iooss, legendary sports photographer who’s work for SI is unmatched. In the piece, it was revealed that Iooss was responsible for shooting photos of three tennis players who will appear in the magazine. Maria Kirilenko, Daniela Hantuchova, and Tatiana Golovin will join Brooklyn Decker as tennis takes over 2009.

Since we are big fans of Sunday Morning and DVR it, there are some images we’d like to share with you. (Before you start whining about quality, yes, this wasn’t in HD and we apologize. Appropriate changes in recording have been addressed.)

Even though we geek out on Sunday Morning, it seems like a strange place for SI to make such a revelation. We like waking up to a nice breakfast and some Tracy Smith – just like old people do but subtract Smith for Bill Geist.

This is now the second CBS entity that will be responsible for promoting the 2009 issue.

Tomorrow night (Monday) David Letterman will show off the cover.
