MSU Vs. UM Hockey Includes On-Ice Violence, Gurney And Fan Attacking MSU Coach
We already knew Michigan and Michigan State fans hate each other.
Last night will just add more gasoline to the fire in a state where people are losing their livelihoods, wives to employed men and houses to short sales.
With only 53 seconds remaining in a Spartans UM victory, an incident that will go down in history took place and all hell broke loose.
(See above for the visual, or read the words of reporters on the scene.)
Michigan defenseman Steve Kampfer, playing along the boards in his own zone, was checked and clothes-lined from behind by Andrew Conboy, who appeared to slam Kampfer to the ice. As Kampfer fell, MSU’s Corey Tropp appeared to whack him in the neck area with his stick.
Kampfer was the same guy attacked by a Michigan football player back in the fall. In other news, a MSU coach called for police after a fan attempted to attack him after the game.
Mr. Kampfer might want to rethink this whole hockey idea. That fractured skull at the hands of a Wolverine walk-on would have been it for us.

The Michigan WOLVERINES not the Spartans won last night's game. Talk about insult to injury. Great coverage.
Easy, chief.
That small mistake was taken care of. Next time we won't even mention who won because in the grand scheme of things it doesn't even matter.
