One of the year’s best hockey fight videos surfaced this week and involves the Eastern Michigan and Illinois teams.

The Illini won the game 10-1, but their goalie will be having nightmares of a punch to his snout.

And the blood that he left on the ice for his team.

Video after the jump.

Listen as the two guys (1:10 mark) describe the goalie fight that ended with the Illinois guy bloodied but still willing to shake the Eastern player’s hand.

That is called respecting an opponent who just busted your nose.

  2. Koufax says:

That dude threw the punch like Arlovski. Pow, pow – MMA style… I'm looking forward to the Day of Reckoning in January. Illini goalie prolly can't remember what happened.
