Cobb to 3rd bagger: “Get Some!”

â€œCuff â€˜Emâ€ is a daily look at whoâ€™s in trouble with the law. Itâ€™s our hope to limit this to 5 sports-related morons, but it can be modified at our discretion or if there is a sudden outbreak of superior stupidity.

We only have time today to highlight a single story, but it’s a really good one.

Lets visit Topeka, Kansas where a 19-year-old baseball player was arrested for…..spiking the first baseman on a routine play where the runner/convict pounded the guy’s foot after being out by three or four steps.

To the police statement we go:

The player who stomped on the first baseman’s ankle then left the complex, (Officer) Reynolds said, and was found later Sunday night by deputies, who arrested him in connection with aggravated battery.

“It’s one thing to slide into a base and have an injury result,” Reynolds said. “It’s another to go after the player and then stomp on his ankle.”

The dust of Ty Cobb just rolled over in the grave.
What’s next, running over the catcher gets you 6 months in the clink?
