Getting ready Celtics fan?

Hope you scheduled a vacation day for Wednesday.

This could be the night where you swing from telephone poles, trees and stop lights. A night where you are chased by police for tipping cars and smashing storefront windows. An evening where arms are broken via police earning double time.

But the local fuzz is gearing up for your ass. And they are bringing in the reinforcements.

Champagne has five Peabody officers headed into Boston tonight â€” Mark Saia and Al Scotina are part of a SWAT (special weapons and tactics) team, while Sgt. William Cook, Detective Eric Ricci and Officer James Thibodeau are with a rapid response team.

“We simply become a force multiplier in service to the Boston Police Department,” he said. “We become the extra set of eyes, the extra set of ears … the extra uniform presence for the local police chief.”

SWAT? Rapid Response Team?

We smell trouble for Boston hooligans after Pierce & Co. dispatch the Lakers. Do we encourage such stupid activity as punching horses? Absolutely not. As long as you aren’t breaking the law BC expects Celts fan to turn in some classic shots like Spurs fan last year.

Enjoy, Boston. You deserve a championship team in that city.
